APC Should Stop Treating Party For Their Own Interest Says Wike.
Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike has suggested that members of the All Progressives Congress [APC] must stop treating the party as a platform for personal interests.
Speaking to party members yesterday, Wike said: “I came into politics because of the people of Rivers State. I will not sell myself to anybody.
People must learn to become corrupt in their values- Wike.
This was convey in an interview with journalists, on the sideline of service in St Paul’s Diobu, at the Government House, Port Harcourt, which he called “a year of accommodation of three cardinal virtues.”
The governor said he will not make any pledges to anybody for any position because he is just a humble servant of the people.
We have a perfectly credible local democracy in Rivers State and I will wager my political future that no outsider will, by subterfuge or otherwise, impose their candidate on us.”
These are some of the moments when ideologies clash, with people saying you have to go with the flow or you are wasting your time, and so forth.
It flags up some of those ideological differences and there is always going to be some conflict when people try to impose their views on others.
The key point is, nobody can impose a candidate here in this state. So, if you are running to Abuja, you are wasting your time.
